Common questions
How does the app decide what to pay on each card?
Every card gets its minimum first. Cards on a deferred-interest promo (common with store cards) get just enough to reach $0 before the promo ends. Every remaining dollar goes to the card with the highest current interest rate (Avalanche) or the smallest balance (Snowball). Open the Plan tab and tap any step to see the reason.
Do I need to connect my bank or enter card numbers?
No. You type in each card's balance, APR, minimum payment and due date from your statement. The optional "last 4" field is only for your reference.
Does marking a card "paid" make a payment?
No. The checklist only tracks what you've paid. Make payments in your card issuer's app or website. When you close out the month, the amounts you marked paid come off each balance.
How do payment reminders work?
Add a due date to each card on the Cards tab, then turn on Card payment reminders in Settings and choose how many days ahead. Reminders are scheduled on your device and include the amount your plan says to pay.
What does Pro include, and how do I cancel?
Pro adds unlimited cards, the live payoff date as you drag the budget slider, and the full month-by-month waterfall. It's $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Cancel anytime in the iPhone Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. To restore Pro on a new device, tap Restore purchases in the app's Settings.
How do I back up my plan or move to a new phone?
In Settings, choose Back up with an account and create an account with your email. Sign in with the same email on your new device and your plan is restored. Without an account, your data stays only on that device.
How do I delete my data or my account?
In the app, go to Settings, then Your data. Erase data on this device removes everything on that phone. Delete account also permanently deletes your cloud backup and account. You can also email us to request deletion.
Are the payoff dates guaranteed?
No. They're estimates based on the numbers you enter. Card issuers calculate interest daily and may charge fees or change rates, so update your balances from each statement. The app is an educational planning tool, not financial advice.
